It's that time again, time for hot cocoa bombs!! They were all the rave last holiday season and we are fully expecting them to be a huge hit again!  If you don't know what we're talking about, just look up #hotcocoabombs on social media and you will be amazed!

Lucky for y'all, we have a quick video demonstration and simple hot cocoa bomb recipe to share!

Tools needed:

Step 1:

Dust the inside of your mold with a beautiful luster dust! Use a fluffy brush, like the ones in our best selling paint brush set, to really get the luster covered in your silicone hot cocoa bomb mold! As you pour the warm chocolate in, it will help the luster dust to adhere while maintaining it's shimmer!

Step 2:

Pour your melted white chocolate into the mold and then do one of two things: use a a small plastic cake tool (like you see here) or paint brush, to get the chocolate all around the edge of the mold. OR gently move your mold around in small circular motions, until the chocolate covers the entire area.

Step 3:

Let the chocolate fully set up before de-molding, it should be dry to the touch in all areas! We recommend waiting at least an hour before attempting to de-mold. Once completely dry, peel back the silicone away from your shell. Go slow, so the chocolate does not crack and don't get discouraged if it does! It takes a couple of tries to get used to it - especially if this is your first time making hot cocoa bombs!

Step 4:

Fill the first hot cocoa bomb shell with all of your goodies! White cocoa powder, Pumpkin Spice, small marshmallows, Master Elite Color (to have a strong orange-colored milk!) and DiamonDust for sparkle!

  • In this video, the Master Elite is added to color the MILK for the hot cocoa bomb drink! Which is why we recommend using White Cocoa Powder, so the dark cocoa does not overpower the beautiful colors in the final drink! Master Elite Colors cannot color actual chocolate. They are not fat soluble and only activated by moisture. Perfect for coloring any and all other sugar art ingredients (icings, fondant, buttercream, etc.)! Step 5:

Take your second hot cocoa bomb shell and using a warm skillet, quickly place down (edge first) to warm the edge of your cocoa bomb and then gently align / attach to the first shell! You need one shell to have warm edges, so you can put together the two sides and make your cocoa bomb!

Step 6:

Decorate the top with additional chocolate, sprinkles and yes ... Edible Glitter, DIAMONDUST!

Step 7:

Heat up some milk in a mug, drop the bomb in and ENJOY!
